Marketing and Press

The Marketing Department of the Laotian American Society (LAS) plays a pivotal role in disseminating important notices and raising awareness within the community. Acting as the organization’s voice, it ensures that community events and updates are effectively communicated.

In addition to its outreach efforts, the Marketing Department manages LAS’s critical information systems and digital assets. This multifaceted department is dedicated to developing well-rounded individuals with expertise in media, digital knowledge, and cybersecurity, essential for navigating the modern intersection of media and technology.

The Sabaidee Atlanta Media Group, a key component of the Marketing Department, oversees LAS’s media presence and serves as the liaison between the organization and the public, bridging internal and external communications.

In 2013, a group of Laotian youth from local colleges and high schools launched an initiative to rejuvenate the perception of Laotian communities through the perspectives of Millennials and Gen Z. At the height of the “Lao Pride” movement and the transition into a “Laotian Cultural Renaissance,” social media became the fastest way to share the stories, experiences, and passions of the community’s young voices.

From the early days of social media, these like-minded individuals took on the crucial role of ensuring the Laotian experience gained relevance in mainstream media, especially from the unique perspective of being Laotians in the South, specifically Atlanta. Since its inception, the group has evolved and expanded into digital media, collaborating with major media conglomerates to consistently make a positive impact on the world.

Their notable press work in recent years stands as a testament to the power of passion and determination within the team.
